DETROIT -

Wayne County Treasurer Ryamond Wojtowicz on Thursday is holding show cause hearings for deliquent property taxpayers who are facing foreclosure.

The hearings will be held at Cobo Center in two sessions, 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.

More than 4,000 taxpayers are expected to attend the hearings, which will span over a five-day period.

Property owners have been notified of their date to attend the hearings.

As the delinquent property tax collection agent for local Wayne County municipalities, the Treasurer's Office staff will be onsite to meet with property taxpayers to review each situation, make payment arrangements and discuss assistance options that may be available. Payments can be made by certified funds.

PNC Bank will present banking and finance workshops.
