DETROIT – Interstate 96 is the latest to make the growing list of Metro Detroit freeways to undergo major resurfacing this summer.
Starting now, westbound I-96 will have lane closures between Novi Road and the Livingston County border just west of Kent Lake Road.

Most of the work will be restricted to overnight hours with lane closures beginning at 9 p.m. during the week.
Lanes will reopen in time for morning rush hour.
The work is expected to continue until mid-November.
