Website for Detroit Public Schools may have virus

Google warns of virus, district hasn't yet said what happened

DETROIT - Anyone trying to access the website for Detroit Public Schools on Monday was stopped by an advisory from Google suggesting the site had been infected with a virus.

When is clicked, "Warning – visiting this site may harm your computer!" is displayed depending on the user's browser.

DPS spokeswoman Jennifer Mrozowski confirmed that the site was experience problems, but didn't immediately say why.

Since Google has flagged the DPS site, visitors should avoid clicking onto the page until more is known about the extent of the virus.
