Westland police investigate 2 stranger danger incidents

Parents should be on the look out for a potential stranger danger in Westland.

WESTLAND, Mich. – Westland police are investigating two stranger danger incidents involving students that occurred within minutes of each other on Wednesday.

Police said the first incident happened in the area of Randy and Lonnie drives when a Cooper Upper Elementary was asked if he wanted some candy by a black male, late 20s, who was the passenger in a black Dodge Challenger. The boy wasn't harmed and the car drove off.

The second incident happened in the area of Superior Parkway and Summerfield Drive. Girls from Marshall Upper Elementary were approached by two brown-haired males, who appeared to be in their late teens, in an unknown red minivan. The girls were not harmed.
