Wednesday's pre-trial hearing is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m.

Wednesday is also the cutoff date for plea deals in the case. Local 4 learned Tuesday that Pugh is expected to receive a plea deal.

During a previous court appearance, a jury trial for Pugh was scheduled to begin Nov. 7. The former Detroit City Council president was put behind bars after the August arraignment in Wayne County.
