White Lake man wanted to meet teen for sex, sheriff's office says

MOUNT CLEMENS, Mich. – A 46-year-old White Lake man is charged with arranging to meet a 14-year-old girl for sex, the Macomb County Sheriff's Office said.

In a statement, the office said detectives with the Macomb Area Computer Enforcement Team (MACE) posed as the teen girl and responded to an online solicitation from Wayne Kenneth Johnson.

After several conversations, Johnson arranged to drive to Clinton Township to meet the teen.

He was arrested Tuesday at the arranged location and arraigned Wednesday on charges of using a computer to commit a crime and child sexual abusive activity.

He's being held in the Macomb County Jail.

His next court date is Sept. 9.
