Wind Chill Advisory in effect Thursday night

SE Michigan counties under Wind Chill Advisory

DETROIT – Southeastern Michigan is under a Wind Chill Advisory through noon Friday.

Low temperatures are expected to be between -5 and 0 degrees Thursday night. Winds in the 10 to 15 miles per hour range will cause wind chill values of -15 to -20 degrees.

Anyone out in this wind chill could suffer frost bite and hypothermia if precautions are not taken.

If you must go outside make sure you wear a hat and gloves. Do not allow your skin to be exposed.

A Wind Chill Advisory could prompt some school closings. In fact, Farmington Public Schools will be closed Friday due to the wind.
