Wixom police seek information about hit-and-run crash that injured 81-year-old woman

An example of the type and color vehicle police believe was involved in a hit-and-run in Wixom.

WIXOM, Mich. – Police are asking the public for information about a hit-and-run that happened Saturday.

According to police, the crash happened at around 6:15 p.m. on Grand River Avenue between S. Wixom Road and Napier Road.

One of the drivers, an 81-year-old woman, was injured in the crash and had to be treated at a hospital, police said.

The car that left the crash scene is described as a bright blue older-model Ford Taurus. A witness obtained a partial license plate number: ---1011.

The vehicle will have front end damage, police said.

The driver is described by police as a white, 25-year-old man with dark, neatly trimmed hair and a clean shaven face.
