Woman accused of drunken driving in Trenton with 2 children in car

Police say woman was 'super drunk; Children weren't restrained properly

TRENTON, Mich. – A 22-year-old woman is accused of drunken driving in Trenton with her two young children in the car, including one on her lap.

According to a police report, the Taylor woman was pulled over Friday and failed two out of three sobriety tests. Her preliminary Breathalyzer was .217, which is considered "super drunk" by Michigan State Police.

Police dashcam video shows the woman telling police she been drinking the night before.

Police said a 1-year-old and 2-year-old were not properly restrained in the car. The 1-year-old old was on her lap and the 2-year-old was in the passenger seat.

Along with charges of operating while intoxicating and child endangerment, the woman is also facing an open intoxication charge for having an open bottle of vodka.

The woman has not yet been arraigned on the charges.
