Woman accused of passing off spaghetti sauce as bombs during bank robbery

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. - Clinton Township police have identified a woman who is accused of passing off two cans of spaghetti sauce as a bomb during a bank robbery.

A warrant for bank robbery and an explosives charged has been issued for Ophelia Amelia Neal.

She is a parole absconder who has previous convictions for assault and various drug possessions.

Police said she's allegedly walked into the 5/3 Bank at 15 Mile Road and Harper Avenue Sunday and said she had a bomb in her bag. She got away with an undisclosed amount of money but police later found the bag and discovered it was only sauce.

Police continue their search for Neal.
