Police said witnesses followed the woman and officers pulled her over in Southgate.

The witnesses told police she was the mother of the bride but hadn't been invited to the wedding because of a family issue. She had shown up at the banquet hall, been convinced to leave, but then drove around the parking lot hitting her daughter and another person's car.

Police said the woman refused sobriety tests and was arrested on charges of operating while intoxicated, open intoxicants and leaving the scene of a crash.

Her arraignment is pending the results of a blood test that was taken.
