Woman ejected from vehicle in Farmington Hills crash

Police say alcohol was a factor

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – The Farmington Hills Police Department is investigating a crash that happened on Grand River Avenue Saturday morning. 

The accident occurred on Grand River Avenue near Purdue Avenue around 8:15 a.m.

A 2013 Ford Escape ran off the road and into the center median, rolling over and continuing into oncoming traffic.

The Escape struck a Farmington Hills Department of Public Works truck. 

All but one occupant were wearing seat belts. The unbelted woman was ejected and seriously injured during the crash.

She was taken to Beaumont Hospital where she is in critical condition.

Alcohol was identified as a factor of the crash, which is currently under investigation.
