DETROIT – Detroit police are working to find out what happened to a woman who was found early Wednesday morning suffering from head trauma.
Sgt. Cassandra Lewis said the 33-year-old victim was discovered by a friend near her home on Edgevale Street, which is near McNichols and John R roads. The friend was there to pick her up for breakfast.

He called police and drove her to the hospital, Lewis said.
Lewis said the victim is in critical condition with blunt force trauma to her head.
