Woman kidnapped from Redford gas station found

Victim snatched, assaulted from gas station Monday

REDFORD, Mich. – The woman who Redford police say what caught on gas station surveillance early Sunday morning being assaulted after pleading for help has been found safe.

Police tell Local 4 the victim was located in a home Monday morning -- thanks to a tip from the public.

Police said they have identified the man and the woman in the video but haven't said much about the nature of their relationship to each other.

No charges have yet been filed.

What happened:

Surveillance video shows the woman asking the clerk at a Marathon gas station on Telegraph and Schoolcraft roads to call police. But while the clerk goes to make the call, a man drags the woman out of the store while she is kicking and screaming. The two left in a white Chevrolet Malibu.

Police had released the video hoping to find the two to make sure the woman was OK.
