DETROIT – A 61-year-old woman was killed Monday morning when the medical transport van she was a passenger in was struck by another vehicle.
The crash happened in the 17200 block of McNichols Road. Police said the 37-year-old man driving the other vehicle made an illegal u-turn and struck the van.
The 61-year-old woman was rushed to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Police said the 37-year-old man was in a hurry to get to his business because it had been broken into.
No other injuries were reported.
