OXFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. - Authorities in southeast Michigan say a worker suffered severe burns when a hydraulic forge press he was using exploded.
The Oakland County sheriff's department says the accident happened Tuesday evening at MSP Industries, a division of American Axle and Manufacturing, in Oxford Township. The worker was taken by helicopter to Detroit Receiving Hospital.
The sheriff's department says Wednesday state officials were investigating.
The worker was identified as being a resident of Lapeer County's Lapeer Township.
