Wyandotte police: Man forcibly kissed 15-year-old girl

Man told police he had hepatitis C, tuberculosis

WYANDOTTE, Mich. – Kevin Sketoe is facing assault charges after Wyandotte police say he forcibly kissed a 15-year-old girl.

It happened Saturday afternoon at Bishop Park. Police say he approached the girl and asked if she wanted to party.

They say when the girl went with him to a nearby convenience store, he grabbed her by the face and kissed her.

"She pulled away to resist and then he kissed her again. They continued over to the store where he went inside to buy beer. She at that time called a friend, and the friend showed up," said inspector James Pouliot, of the Wyandotte Police Department.

Police say Sketoe followed them back to the park and told the teen it would be a mistake not to party with him. Police were eventually called and they say Sketoe was highly intoxicated.

After he was arrested police say Sketoe told them this:

"During the booking process when asking him for any kind of medical history, he indicated he had hepatitis C and tuberculosis," said Pouliot.

The teen told police she went with Sketoe because she felt intimidated. Police say if you are ever approached by a suspicious person, get help immediately.

"If there are people around, definitely make a scene. Start yelling. Start screaming for help, if indeed you don't want to go with the person or you want nothing to do with this person," said Pouliot.
