Local 4 Reporter

Art Edwards has lived all around the country, but he is certainly no stranger to Michigan.

Before his varied on-air career, Art was cheering for the home team at the University of Michigan, where he studied electrical engineering.

As for his return to Michigan, Art joined Local 4 on Feb. 5, 2000, and is a reporter on newscasts throughout the week.

Before that, he spent more than four years at NBC-17 in Raleigh, N.C.

During his stint at WKYC-TV in Cleveland, Art nabbed an Emmy for his work on an hour-long special called "Tough Choices.''

Originally from Oakland, Calif., Art began his on-air career at KFTY-TV in Santa Rosa. He's also worked in Salinas, Calif., Las Vegas and New Orleans.

In addition to U of M, he also attended Boston University and California State University, Hayward.

Art is married and has two children.
