Abused dog rescued by Downriver Central Animal control in Southgate

Animal control asking for help in finding owner of abused dog

The pictures are heart wrenching - a dog with a wire cable around his neck has been rescued in Southgate.

The Downriver Animal Control center found the pup Friday afternoon. Someone  had a put a wire cable around his neck and every time he tried to free himself it tightened basically slicing his throat open. On Monday they said they are confident there will be no long term damage to the dog.

Rescuers are asking for the public's help in finding whoever is responsible for this animal abuse.
