FRANKFORT, Ky. - The newest resident at the Franklin County animal shelter is hamming it up and getting lots of attention.
Shelter manager Nancy Benton told WKYT-TV that shelter workers are "tickled" because they think the pig is "just the cutest little thing."
They wanted to keep it inside, but Benton said she decided to house it outside near the dogs. Benton said even the dogs seemed "pretty excited" about the new arrival.
Benton said a group of people noticed the pig running loose in a neighborhood on Thursday and captured it, then brought it in.
She says if no one claims the animal in five days, it will go up for adoption.
