Crowds will pack Detroit's Ford Field for Super Bowl XL on Sunday, Feb. 5, but much of the action will take place off the field. Detroit is getting ready to host an unprecedented party.
Here's a starting lineup of the super celebrity guests.
Sisters Paris and Nicky Hilton kick things off with a private party at downtown's Bleu Room Experience.
After slamming Detroit, talk show host Jimmy Kimmel is planning to broadcast his show from the Gem Theatre during Super Bowl week.
Motown will live up to its name with an impressive lineup. Hometown rapper Eminem may make an appearance at the State Theatre, although a date hasn't been finalized.
Plans are in the works to bring Motown legend Smokey Robinson to the Music Hall for a gala the night before the game.
The Four Tops and the Funk Brothers are among the acts set to perform at the Masonic Temple.
Other notables coming to town include R&B star Usher.
Playboy and
Maxim magazines are known for hosting two of the most popular parties. Details on where and when have not been released.
Fans of rapper Sean "Diddy" Combs may want to watch for his party at the Elysium nightclub in Detroit on Friday, Feb. 3. So far, there is no word on who is on Diddy's guest list.
Meanwhile, the Detroit Sports Concierge Super Bowl XL Corporate Hospitality Event will light up the Renaissance Club.
Just minutes from Ford Field, the upscale venue is located on the 36th floor of Detroit's Renaissance Center.
