Report: Michigan's Manningham Expected To Have Surgery

POSTED: 1:08 pm EDT October 10, 2006

(Sports Network) - Michigan sophomore wide receiver Mario Manningham is reportedly set to undergo surgery on Tuesday, which would sideline him for several weeks.

The Detroit News reported that Manningham will have arthroscopic surgery to repair a partially torn meniscus, as well as a possible partial tear of a medial collateral ligament in a knee.

The paper is citing a source familiar with the situation.

Manningham left Saturday's victory over Michigan State in the third quarter. The wide out leads the Wolverines (6-0) and the Big Ten in receiving yards with 527 as well as the nation with nine touchdown grabs.
