Michigan says three men's basketball players have decided to transfer to other schools, which it didn't name.
Coach John Beilein said Wednesday that those transferring are sophomore forwards Evan Smotrycz and Colton Christian and freshman guard Carlton Brundidge.
Smotrycz played in all 69 games over two seasons, averaging 7 points and 3.6 rebounds while playing in 19.4 minutes per game. Brundidge played in 15 games, averaging 2.9 minutes.
Beilein says the Wolverines "never like to see players leave the program." He says all three transferring players are "fine young men with bright futures."
