He committed with a video in which he is seen firing a paintball gun at people wearing clothes of the schools he did not commit to. In the end, he took off his high school sweatshirt to reveal a Michigan football shirt underneath.

Mayfield is a four-star prospect and the No. 6 overall player in Michigan, according to 247 Sports. He's the No. 24 offensive tackle in the nation and the No. 310 player overall.

The 6 foot 5 inch, 255-pound lineman had 16 scholarship offers, including the five finalists listed above and several smaller Midwest schools.

With Mayfield's commitment, the Wolverines have nine players pledged to their 2018 recruiting class -- six four-stars and three three-stars. Mayfield is the sixth overall player committed in the class and the second-rated offensive lineman behind Emil Ekiyor.

Harbaugh's 2018 class is currently ranked No. 17 in the nation.
