Pistons fans who can't make it to San Antonio for Game 7 of the NBA Finals can catch the action on the big screen with other fans around town.

PalaceVision Sells Out

The Detroit Pistons may be on the road for Game 7 of the NBA Finals, but the team will open the doors of The Palace of Auburn Hills to a sold-out crowd of fans Thursday night.

PalaceVision will feature the live Detroit Pistons game against the San Antonio Spurs, and will include appearances by the Pistons' mascot, Hooper, the Automotion dance team and the Palace Patrol. Interactive games will be played on the court, and face-painting and sign-making will be available.

Concession stands and The Palace Locker Room store will be open for fans.

The doors to The Palace will open at 7 p.m. The game is scheduled to start at 9 p.m.

Proceeds from the general admission fee of $5 will go to charities CATCH and Cornerstone Schools. Parking at The Palace of Auburn Hills is free.

A capacity number of 22,076 general admission tickets have been sold, officials at The Palace of Auburn Hills announced Thursday afternoon.

Chene Park

Fans can watch Pistons coverage Thursday beginning at 7:30 p.m. on the big screen at Chene Park in Detroit. Tickets are $5 with proceeds going to the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History.

Tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis and seating capacity is 6,000 at Chene Park.

The park is located at 2600 Atwater at the intersection of Chene Street and Jefferson Avenue. For information, call the Chene Park Box Office at (313) 393-0292.

The Royal Oak Music Theater

The Royal Oak Music Theater will host a Game 7 party Thursday night.

Fans have been invited to watch playoff games at the theater on a giant 20-foot movie screen with a state-of-the-art concert music system. WRIF FM personality Arthur P broadcasts live from 3 to 7 p.m. from the lobby of the music theater on game nights.

Admission to the playoff parties is free and guests must be 21 or older to be admitted. Barbeque food prepared by Chef Paul may be purchased throughout the evening. More than 5,000 fans came to the Royal Oak Music Theater last year for a chance to watch the game, but only 1,700 are allowed in, according to organizers.

Early arrival is recommended. Doors open one hour before game time and all guests should be prepared to show identification. The event is co-sponsored by 101 WRIF and the Metro Times.

The Royal Oak Music Theater is located at 318 W. Fourth Street in Royal Oak. For more information call (248) 399-2980.

Star Southfield

Pistons' playoff games have also been broadcast on a big screen in a theater at Star Southfield. The tradition continues with Game 7 Thursday night.

Tickets are free, but seating is limited to 400 fans. Beginning at noon on the day of the game, fans can purchase tickets at the theater box office. Seating begins at 8:30 p.m. The theater is located at 25333 West 12 Mile Rd. between Telegraph and Northwester in Southfield.

For information, call (248) 368-1802.
