Ann Arbor, MI -- Chad Henne threw three touchdown passes to lead the 21st-ranked Michigan Wolverines to a 41-14 rout of the Indiana Hoosiers during Big Ten action from Michigan Stadium.

Indiana started the day well, as Powers dropped back and hit Jahkeen Gilmore with a 42-yard touchdown pass three minutes into the game. However, the Wolverines answered with two touchdowns before the end of the opening quarter for the 14-7 lead. Henne found Tyler Ecker from five yards out midway through the frame, then connected with Avant minutes later on a seven-yarder.
Michigan kept rolling in the second quarter, piling on four straight touchdowns to open up a commanding 41-7 advantage at halftime. Grady reached the end zone on runs of one yard and 32 yards, followed by a six-yard scamper from Jerome Jackson. Henne capped the scoring barrage with an 11-yard strike to Steve Breaston with 23 seconds remaining in the half.
The Wolverines applied the brakes to the offense in the second half, while the Maize and Blue defense held Indiana scoreless throughout the third quarter.
The Hoosiers finally broke through for their second and final score midway through the fourth quarter, as backup quarterback Graeme McFarland connected with Brandon Walker-Roby on a seven-yard touchdown pass.
Michigan rolled up 425 yards and 26 first downs in the victory, while Indiana managed just 210 yards and nine first downs. The Hoosiers converted only 3- of-14 third-down opportunities, and were further stymied by eight penalties for 73 yards.
