DETROIT -

Sweden is sending a solid hockey roster to Sochi, including six Detroit Red Wings.

Jonas Gustavsson, Jonathan Ericsson, Niklas Kronwall, Daniel Alfredsson, Johan Franzen and Henrik Zetterberg all made the cut.

Ericsson's younger brother, Jimmie Ericsson, also made the squad. Jimmie, a left winger, plays with Skellefteå AIK of the SHL (Swedish Hockey League).

This will be Alfredsson's 5th time representing his home country in the Olympics.
