Los Angeles Clippers guard Chauncey Billups will miss the remainder of the season with a torn left Achilles tendon, the team announced on Tuesday.
Billups suffered the injury during the fourth quarter of Monday's 107-102 overtime victory over the Orlando Magic. An MRI on Tuesday revealed the severity of the injury.
The 35-year-old Billups was untouched as he fell to the ground on a missed 3-point attempt. He was helped off the court by his teammates.
Randy Foye is expected to start in place of Billups, who was averaging 14.9 points and 4.0 assists in 20 starts this season.
