SAN FRANCISCO -

The San Francisco Giants have taken a 2-0 lead in the World Series after defeating the Detroit Tigers 2-0 Thursday night.

Pence added a sacrifice fly in the eighth off Octavio Dotel.

The Giants will travel to Detroit for Game 3 on Saturday and Game 4 on Sunday at Comerica Park.
