Letang injured in Penguins’ 9th straight win, 2-1 over Bruins
Nine wasn't quite fine for the Penguins. Kris Letang, the NHL's scoring leader among defensemen, didn't finish a 2-1 win over the Boston Bruins on Sunday at Consol Energy Center. The Penguins reported Letang as having a lower-body injury. A late first-period goal by fourth-line center Joe Vitale, his first, broke a 1-1 tie. Bruins winger Tyler Seguin had pulled Boston even in the opening period after Penguins captain Sidney Crosby's 13th goal staked his club a lead. Backup Tomas Vokoun stopped 31 shots. The Penguins (22-8-0, 44 points) have won nine consecutive games.
