THIS TIME HE'S LOOKING FOR A WIN OFF THE FIELD, IN COURT.
THE BOY IS BEING SUED BY ELIZABETH LLOYD, THE MOTHER OF ONE OF HIS TEAMMATES.
SHE WAS WATCHING A GAME WHEN SHE WAS HIT BY A BALL THAT MATTHEW HAD THROWN.
MATTHEW'S FATHER BOB MIGLIACCIO TOLD US WHAT HIS SON SAYS HAPPENED THAT DAY TWO YEARS AGO.
MATTHEW WAS WARMING UP HIS PITCHER IN THE BULLPEN WHEN THE BALL SLIPPED OUT OF HIS HANDS AND SAILED OVER THE FENCE.
"It hit Ms. Lloyd who was sitting on the bench -- about 5 feet from the fence -- in the side of the face."
HIS SON TOLD HIM HE IMMEDIATELY WENT OVER TO HER AND APOLOGIZED.
LLOYD SAID SHE WAS FINE AND SHE SAID SHE KNEW HE DIDN'T DO IT ON PURPOSE.
LATER, THEY LEARNED SHE WAS HOSPITALIZED FOR A BROKEN BONE IN HER FACE.
NOW, A YEAR-AND-A-HALF LATER SHE'S SUING MATTHEW.
SHE CLAIMS HE INTENTIONALLY, RECKLESSLY STRUCK AND ASSAULTED HER.
NO ONE ANSWERED AT THE LLOYD HOME. CALLS TO HER AND HER ATTORNEY WEREN'T RETURNED.
MEANTIME, MATTHEW'S FATHER SAYS HE BELIEVES WHAT HIS SON TOLD HIM. THAT THIS WAS AN UNFORTUNATE ACCIDENT.
"He said, 'We weren't screwing around, Dad. The ball slipped out of my hand when I threw it back and it went over his head.' Like to him, this happens everyday in Little League."
Lloyd is seeking 153-thousand dollars to cover medical costs stemming from the incident.
