DETROIT -

The Detroit Red Wings will hold a special 'Relive the Rivalry' viewing party to celebrate Detroit's unforgettable sudden-death victory over Colorado in 1997.

The party will take place Wednesday, Nov. 28 at PB's Sports Grille. The restaurant is located at 24301 Harper Avenue in St. Clair Shores.

The festivities will begin at 6:30 p.m. The memorable game will be shown in its entirety beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Arguably the peak of the teams' epic 1990's rivalry, the Red Wings and Avalanche combined to produce 11 goals and record 148 penalty minutes in the game.

Overtime hero Darren McCarty will be on hand to mingle with event patrons throughout the night, even organizers said. The 'Grind Line' member will also sign autographs for fans and engage in an interactive Q&A session about the memorable Hockeytown showdown that featured some of the greatest players in recent NHL history.

Hosted by Red Wings play-by-play announcer Ken Kal, the event is open to fans of all ages.

Viewing party attendees will have the chance to win autographed Red Wings memorabilia by taking part in an evening-long trivia contest.

The restaurant has planned a special food and drink combo featuring 20 chicken wings. 22 ounce draught beers will be sold for $1 to event patrons over the age of 21, event organizers said.
