CHICAGO -

The Detroit Tigers have placed left-hander Drew Smyly on the 15-day disabled list and recalled infielder Ryan Raburn from Triple-A Toledo.

Smyly departed his last start after just three innings due to a blister on his left middle finger that manager Jim Leyland said was the worst one he had ever seen. Smyly's DL stint was made retroactive to Monday.

Doug Fister will come off the DL to start Saturday's home game against the Colorado Rockies. He has been sidelined with a left side strain.

Raburn got the start at second base on Thursday against the Chicago Cubs. He hit .146 in 37 games with Detroit before he was sent down on May 29.
