Detroit Tigers' Justin Verlander will start for American League at All-Star Game

Detroit's Prince Fielder, Miguel Cabrera also in lineups

DETROITDetroit Tigers' pitcher Justin Verlander will start for the American League Tuesday at the All-Star Game.

The 29-year-old is 9-5 with a 2.58 ERA in 18 starts this season.

Tigers will be well represented in Kansas City

Prince Fielder of Detroit will start at first base. He was the MVP of last year's All-Star game while playing in the NL for Milwaukee.  Detroit slugger Miguel Cabrera was also named to the team.
