Detroit Tigers to sign free agent closer Joe Nathan
Former Twins, Rangers closer headed to Tigers bullpen
The Detroit Tigers have agreed to sign free agent closer Joe Nathan to a two-year deal, according to published reports.
Nathan, 39, is best known for spending the majority of his career with the Minnesota Twins. More recently he has been with the Texas Rangers.
In 2013, Nathan was 6-2 with 43 saves as the Rangers' closer.
