Flat tire temporarily delays David Price's departure from Detroit

David Price as a Tiger was good while it lasted. Over parts of two seasons, the former Cy Young winner went 13-8 with a 2.90 ERA in Detroit.

And while Tiger fans should be excited the team snagged a promising young pitching prospect in Daniel Norris in exchange, essentially, for Price's expiring contract that doesn't mean Detroit won't miss Price.

Thanks to Michigan's notoriously bad roads, Price remained in metro Detroit a little longer than planned. En route to joining his new team, the Blue Jays, in Toronto, Price got a flat tire and required the assistance of one of metro Detroit's many fine towing services.

While we won't get an extra start from the ace pitcher, it was nice to have him in town for a few more minutes. And from what Price tells us on Twitter, both All-Star pitcher and his Jaguar are fine.
