DETROIT – Six Tigers were named to the American League All-Star roster Saturday.
Miguel Cabrera, Justin Verlander, Max Scherzer, Prince Fielder, Torii Hunter and Jhonny Peralta will all represent the Tigers on July 16th at Citi Field in NYC.

That is the most from a Tigers' team since 1985.
Miguel Cabrera was named as the AL's starting 3rd baseman. It's his 8th All-Star appearance.
It's Justin Verlander 6th appearance.
It's Max Scherzer first appearance.
Prince Fielder has been there five times, so has Torii Hunter.
This will be Jhonny Peralta's second appearance.
Jim Leyland is the American League's manager.
