DETROIT – With The Tigers 2015 season getting underway Monday, fans are being encouraged to plan ahead for opening day.
Fans should not only expect traffic delays, but parking lots are also expected to fill early, as many spaces are reserved for guests with season passes and disabilities. So those planning to attend Monday's game are encouraged to arrive early to Comerica Park. Various shuttles will be available at many local bars, restaurants and casinos.

In addition, parking lots north of the Interstate 75 Service Drive and west of Woodward will no longer be available.
Traffic and parking warnings:
- Madison Avenue will have lane closures going both east and west from St. Antoine to Beaubien
- The Detroit Police Department has designated both north and southbound curb lanes of John R. and Brush St. as "no parking." Any vehicles parked in these areas could be ticketed and towed
- As part of the M-1 Rail project, Woodward Avenue will be restricted to one lane north, one lane south and a turn lane from Adams to Grand Boulevard
- Both east and west sides will be closed to vehicle traffic from Park Avenue to Woodward Avenue This closure will include the I-75 northbound on-ramp at Clifford. Signage and cones will indicate closed areas and proper detours
Navigating the Fisher Service Drive closure:
- Eastbound Fisher approaching Woodward (to access lots east of Woodward including Tiger Garage, Lot 3, 4 and 5):
Accessing Lots 1 and 2:
When the game is over, fans are warned that the I-75 north ramp entrance with be closed. Guests will be directed north on Clifford and Cass:
When leaving Comerica Park, fans parked east of Woodward should take John R. and Brush Street north to Mack Avenue. Turn right to access I-75 north and south and connect to all other major freeways from there.
Fans parked west of Woodward Avenue are encouraged to take the following:
Fans are encouraged to avoid Woodward Avenue as much as possible due to lane restrictions from the M-1 rail.
The Madison Avenue ramp will also be open for those fans parked south of Comerica Park.
