Report says John Salley wants to move back to Detroit

John Salley: 'This city is going through its situations but it's definitely a wonderful place'

DETROIT – There are reports that former Detroit Piston John Salley could be moving back to Detroit.

Salley told WWJ Newsradio, "You can report it, John Salley is moving back to Detroit, Michigan. I would love to be back in there. My daughters weren't born when I lived there and they would love to run through that house, but you know, it depends," he said.

John Salley told the radio station, "I miss everything about this wonderful city. This city is going through its situations but it's definitely a wonderful place."

Salley was drafted by the Detroit Pistons in the first round of the 1986 NBA draft. He is among the Pistons' all-time leaders in blocked shots.

From Detroit, Salley played for the Miami Heat, the Chicago Bills, and the LA Lakers.
