Bush and Bell combine for 18 points in Lions 34-24 win over Vikings

The two runningbacks combined for 18 points as the Lions beat the Vikings 34-24 Sunday.

Detroit – Reggie Bush had a very good debut for the Lions.

In his first regular season game, he had nearly 200 total yards of offense including a touchdown.

Bush carried the ball 21 times for 90 yards. He also led the Lions with 101 yards receiving.  In the third quarter, he caught a 77-yard touchdown pass from Mathew Stafford. 

Meanwhile, Joique Bell scored two touchdowns in the Lions 34-24 win over the Vikings Sunday.

Calvin Johnson would have had two touchdowns today, but both were called back. The first, he caught a pass from Stafford but was ruled an incomplete pass. The second, he stepped out of bounds. 

Matthew Stafford finished the day 28-43 for 357 yards and two touchdowns.

The Lions offense was stalled in the first half by penalties, Detroit finished the day with 11 for 88 yards.

Adrian Peterson had two touchdowns Sunday. On his first carry, he ran for 78 yards for the score in the first quarter. The second was in the second quarter, a 4-yard run scored another touchdown. He ended with 93 yards rushing.

Christian Ponder threw three interceptions and fumbled.
