DETROIT – The Detroit Lions have added some depth and some speed to their receiving corps.
Veteran wide receiver Lance Moore has agreed to a one-year deal with the Lions. The signing will reunite Moore with offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi, who was previously a coach with the New Orleans Saints.
Moore spent his first nine seasons with the Saints, catching 346 passes, with 38 touchdowns. Moore's best season came in 2012 with the Saints, when he caught 65 passes for 1,041 yards and six touchdowns.Â
Moore spent the 2014 season in Pittsburgh after signing a two-year, $3 million contract last offseason, but was released in March after catching 14 passes for 198 yards and two touchdowns in 13 games.
