DETROIT – The Detroit Lions got two key players back on the field Monday, after activating defensive tackle Haloti Ngata from NFI, and running back Joique Bell from PUP.
Both players are expected to practice today, and be ready for the start of the regular season in two weeks.
The Lions have been busy today, trimming and adjusting their active roster. Earlier on Monday, the team traded their backup kicker to Tampa Bay for tight end Tim Wright.
They also parted ways with wide receiver Ryan Broyles, running back Desmond Martin and quarterback Garret Gilbert.
The Lions roster currently stands at 78 players. They must cut it to 75 by 4 p.m. on Tuesday.
