DETROIT – The Detroit Lions and running back Joique Bell have agreed to a new 3-year deal worth $9.3 million, according to the Lions.

Bell gained 650 yards on 166 carries while working in tandem with Reggie Bush last season. His role could expand with a new offensive system in place.

Bell was heading into the off-season as a restricted free agent, which would require teams to give up draft picks to acquire the running back.
