DETROIT -

Detroit Lions tight end Dorin Dickerson was placed on injured reserve with concussion-like symptoms.

Dickerson admitted earlier in the week that he hid a concussion from team physicians.

"Got a little concussion. Should have reported it," Dickerson said after telling reporters he did not remember speaking with the media following a Week 16 loss to the Giants.

"I thought I could get away with it," he said.

Dickerson had a dropped pass and a costly holding penalty on the Lions' only drive of overtime, which resulted in a punt.

To take Dickerson's spot on the 53-man roster, the Lions signed tight end Matt Veldman and added wide receiver Carlin Isles to the practice squad.
