Petition formed to make Monday after Super Bowl national holiday

DETROIT – After the petition to have the U.S. government create a "Death Star" failed, the Obama Administration has another interesting petition to consider: Make the Monday after the Super Bowl an official national holiday.

Many people take the day off anyways, mostly to nurse a hangover.

Josh Moore, the owner of the fantasy football website '4for4,' created the petition on the White House We The People Page. On it, it says the holiday would "promote camaraderie among the American people, keep the streets safer for our children on Sunday night and Monday morning, promote a productive workplace when work resumes on Tuesday, and honor the most popular event in modern American culture."

There's still plenty of signatures to be collected though before the White House even looks at the petition. But in the meantime, those who make it a tradition to watch the Super Bowl can still dream.
