Do you have spirit? Yes, you do! Friday Football Frenzy wants to hear about it.
During the first half of the fall season we searched for the best, most passionate marching band in Metro Detroit. After hundreds of nominations and tens of thousands of votes the Troy Colt Marching Band emerged as Friday Football Frenzy's best marching band.

Now we're turning our attention to the spirit squads. We know that may be a confusing name, but we want to include all cheerleading teams, dance squads and school mascots. We know how hard you all work to perform for your schools, and we want to bring some attention to the effort.
So here's how it works. First, we put a call out for nominations. Is your spirit squad the best in Metro Detroit? Tell us why! And just to be clear, you can nominate an individual team or a school's entire spirit squad.
We'll take the nominations, put them in a poll and ask our viewers to vote for their favorites. You can help stoke the vote by encouraging your supporters and fans to support your teams.
We'll narrow the field to 10 spirit squads after Round 1, reset the votes to zero, and hold a final round to determine the area's best spirit squad.
One early reminder: This is all for fun and designed to celebrate the hard work that goes into these performances. We want people to be competitive, but not overly so. We'll do a number of stories in the coming weeks featuring everyone nominated, so please keep that in mind.
