Franzen was placed on short-term injured reserve on Tuesday. He tried for a comeback Sunday against the Florida Panthers and even logged an assist in the 5-4 shootout loss.

However, he was still suffering concussion symptoms.

Franzen has 9 goals and 14 assists in 31 games this season.
