Red Wings G Petr Mrazek to start vs. Senators

DETROIT – Detroit Red Wings goalie Petr Mrazek will start Tuesday night against the Ottawa Senators at Joe Louis Arena, coach Mike Babcock said Tuesday morning.

The 23-year-old netminder was pulled from Sunday's game against the New York Islanders after allowing four goals on 11 shots. It was his second-straight start in back-to-back games. On Saturday, he made 23 saves for the shutout in a 4-0 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Jimmy Howard relieved him on Sunday and stopped 15 of 16 shots. Howard had been pulled Thursday night when he allowed three goals on 10 shots from the San Jose Sharks.

Overall, the Red Wings have struggled to keep the puck out of their net. They have allowed 16 goals in their past three loses.
