Red Wings' Sheahan in, Cole out vs. Senators

DETROIT – Center Riley Sheahan will return to the Detroit Red Wings lineup Tuesday night when they host the Ottawa Senators.

However, forward Erik Cole (upper body) remains out of the lineup and won't play Tuesday night, according to the Red Wings.

Sheahan has missed the past two games with an upper body injury. At 6-foot-3 and 222 pounds, the 23-year-old center brings size to the Red Wings' forward lineup, and to the faceoff dot. He has 12 goals and 22 assists for 34 points in 73 games with Detroit this season. He has two goals and a .508 faceoff percentage in four career games against the Senators.

Cole, who was picked up at the trade deadline, has missed the past three games with the injury. It forced him to leave last week's game against the Arizona Coyotes. He has 6 points in 11 games with Detroit.
