Comments Solo made after the U.S. lost to Sweden during the Rio Olympics were "unacceptable and do not meet the standard of conduct we require from our National Team players,” U.S. Soccer President Sunil Gulati said.

Solo called Sweden a “bunch of cowards” after they beat the United States 4-3 during the Olympics, AP said.

Solo was also suspended for 30 days in 2015. She will not be able to be selected for the national team until February.

The suspension is effective immediately, the wire service said.
